Hilda Stendell, Nee Groh

Hilda Stendell, nee Groh, age 99, of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Brookfield and Hillside. Survived by son George (Gerda) Stendell; son-in-law Kenneth Wollenberg; grandchildren Kevin Wollenberg, Lisa (Ameet) Sachdev, Aaron (Jamie) Stendell, and Leanne Stendell; great-grandchildren Ayla and George Russell Stendell and Alexander Sachdev; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her daughter, Judith Wollenberg; husband George R. Stendell; parents Christ Jacob and Anna Maria Groh; and siblings Mary (Henry) Keller, Fred Groh, Louise (Harry) Ross, Christian Groh, Frieda Reese, Jacob Groh, and Edward Groh. Devoted lifelong member of the Lutheran church and founding member of Concordia Lutheran Church of Hillside. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Visitation Friday, November 20th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., 9445 W. 31st St., Brookfield.
