Gladys E. Novy, Nee Zarobsky

Gladys E. Novy, nee Zarobsky, age 86, of Downers Grove, formerly of Cicero, passed early Saturday following a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma; beloved wife of the late George C. Novy; fond mother of Gail (Raymond) Chapman, Gwendolyn (Carl) Ferguson and Gloria (Fiancé Howard Powell) Jones; dear grandmother of Lynette (Matthew) Gilbert, Jennifer Ferguson, John Ferguson, Daniel Jones, Emily Jones and Nicholas Jones. Gladys worked for over 20 years as a secretary at Cicero School, where she was admired and respected by all. She was a Girl Scout for over 70 years, serving in many capacities from troop leader to President of Cloverleaf Girl Scout Council. Visitation Tuesday, September 6, 2005 from 2 PM to 9 PM and Wednesday, September 7, 2005 from 10:30 AM to 11 AM at Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd. 9445 W. 31st Street, Brookfield.
