Ellen Rose Shepherd, nee Middleton, age 90, of Westchester, formerly of Hazel Crest. Beloved wife of the late Charles E. Shepherd; loving mother of John, James (Julia), Michael, Jane (the late Steven), Therese (Jose), Margaret, Daniel, Charles (Ty), Catherine and the late Richard and Mary; devoted grandmother of 27; dear great grandmother of 24; sister of Carol (Dan) and Annette (Hank) and the late Robert (Laura), Margaret (Charles), Jim D., Joe (Betty), Mary Alice (Paul), Marie (Robert), Doris (James), and George (Shirley); aunt of many nieces and nephews. Ellen was born on a farm outside Downing, Missouri, the daughter of Hollie E. Middleton and Hazel Jane (McCuskey) Middleton, and she was a lifelong Cubs fan, much to the dismay of her family.
Visitation Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 10:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at St. Barbara’s Church, 4008 Prairie Avenue, Brookfield, Illinois. Mass 11:00 A.M.
Interment at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park, Illinois.
