Carol A. Crosby, nee Close, age 77, of Brookfield. Beloved wife of the late Patrick C. Crosby; loving mother of Patrick Crosby and Michael (Cynthia) Crosby; dear grandmother of Jack Crosby and Sarah Crosby; devoted sister of Kevin (Christine) Close, James (Loretta) Close and the late Jack Close, aunt of many nieces and nephews; longtime companion of Joseph Tamborski. Visitation Wednesday November 7, 2012 from 3 P.M. to time of Service 8 P.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd., 9445 West 31st Street, Brookfield. Interment Private.  Carol has been known throughout her years for owning Crosby Reality, Brookfield, Bread Board Restaurant, Chicago and volunteering as a Hostess on the Welcome Wagon; she served the Village of Brookfield on the Library Board and Trustee.
