Betty Jane Weiss, a resident of Aurora, IL, sadly passed away April 11, 2020. Mrs. Weiss was born July 25, 1933 to the late, late Mary Isobel Watson Eddings and Roy E. Eddings in Detroit, MI. Betty was the loving wife & widow of Joseph E. Weiss; who preceded her in going home in 1996. Betty was an avid reader, gardener & cook; she loved nothing more than taking charge hosting a dinner party or a holiday gathering. She insisted on making all of the meals herself along with the visual ambiance. During Mrs. Weiss' career years, she was a dedicated nurse both in Michigan & Georgia. She was a faithful volunteer at one of the largest National Food Pantry's, 5 Fish & 2 Loaves, when she relocated from Georgia to the suburbs of Chicago. Mrs. Weiss was preceded in death by her parents, her only sibling, Mary Ann Gower, brother-in-law, Donald C. Gower, great-granddaughter, Emory Elise Bourchier, and more recently, her only son, Jeffrey C. Weiss of Houston, TX. Survivors included daughter, Debra A. & husband, Kenneth Frensley; granddaughter, Farrah A. & husband, Dr. Matthew Jennings; great granddaughters, Hannah Harnden & Abigail Jennings, 3 step grandchildren; grandson, Jeffrey J. Hall & wife, Rachel, great grandson, Owen; daughter, Cheryl L. & husband Mark Bourchier; granddaughter, Katherine M. & husband, Gary Singleton, great granddaughter, Natalie Stevens; granddaughter, Elizabeth L. & husband Brad Dispain, great granddaughter, Brooke; granddaughter, Marjory A. & husband, Jason Oliva, great grandson, Graham, great granddaughter, Gwen; grandson, Dustin M. Bourchier & wife, Ansley, great grandson, Matthew, great granddaughter, Samantha & great grandson, Carson; granddaughter, Laura S. & Matt Harrod, great grandson, Legend, great granddaughter, Maura & great grandson, Parker; her son's stepchildren of 27 years, Nici Snyder & Jerrad Smith. "Auntie Betty " had numerous nieces and nephews, along with their extended families in Georgia who adored her. As Matriarch of this large family, Betty Jane Weiss will be greatly missed.

Although COVID-19 concerns have prevented the family from a memorial at this time, we will not be denied a celebration of the life and accomplishes of Betty Jane's life here on Earth. We pray she is amazingly thrilled with her reunions in The Kingdom.
