Arline Audrey (Gall) James

Arline Audrey (Gall) James, beloved mother, grandmother and die-hard Wisconsin Badgers fan, died on January 3rd, 2016 surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer and the complexities of old age. She was 91 1/2 years old. A longtime resident of the LaGrange Highlands, the former Wisconsin native and retired school teacher was the mother of three daughters and a grandmother to boy/girl twins who were the light of her life. She was a lifetime member of Hope Lutheran Church in Countryside, IL, and an avid reader who loved Bestsellers. She had a big heart, a gentle sense of humor, a dedication to Jesus Christ and a quietly strong soul that touched everyone she ever knew. She will be missed forever. She is survived by daughters Cynthia James of LaGrange, IL; Debbie (Greg) Buyan of Monee, IL; and Sallie James of Tamarac, FL; and grandchildren Cameron and Gabriela Goetgeluck, also of Tamarac. Mrs. James was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Caldwell James, her parents Otto and Ida Gall, and brother Warren Gall. A memorial service is pending. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Adventist St. Thomas Hospice, 119 E. Ogden Ste. 111, Hinsdale, IL 60521 or Hope Lutheran Church, 6455 Joliet Road, Countryside, IL 60525.
