American FlagMichael Joseph Vivona, age 88, of La Grange Park. WW ll Army Veteran. Beloved husband of Rosemary Vivona, nee Bafaro; dear father of Louise (the late Steven) Vivona- Miller, Rick (Cindy) Vivona and Barbara (Jim) Riccio; devoted grandfather of Amanda Riccio, Matt Vivona, Jason (Angela) Riccio, Dana Vivona, Sarah Bottini and Juliana Bottini; dear brother of Nick (the late Eleanor) Vivona and the late Daniel (Helen) Vivona and Dominick ( the late Arlene) Vivona; uncle of many nieces and nephews. During World War II, he served in the US Army Signal Corps as a high speed radio operator on the island of Okinawa. After the war, he used the GI bill to go to Roosevelt University and received a bachelor of science degree in accounting. He then worked for 3M company for 39 years at the Bedford Park, Illinois plant. He retired as a credit manager at National Advertising a subsidiary of 3M. He loved his children and their spouses. He cherished and loved his six grandchildren.
