McGowan, nee Lavin: fond brother of Mary Jo (Kim Skrundz) McGowan, Sharon Sengstock, and the late Paul McGowan: dear uncle of Joshua (Charlene) Sengstock, Joslyn Sengstock and Chandler Sengstock; cousin of many; friend to many especially all of his Special Olympic team mates.

Want to extend my condolences to the family and friends for the loss of a great person. I met Mikey 20 years a go working for Team Services and we always have a great relationship. He was always funny and a great guy to chat.

I will always remember Mikey’s generous smile, open, heart, and his genuine care & concern for others, even through his own difficulties!
Mikey’s exuberance at catching the garter at our wedding makes me smile to this day and his bright light shines on in the many lives he’s touched!!
Your love and devotion to Mikey has been admirable and incredibly inspiring! We are deeply sorry for your loss and stand with you in your grief.
