Very sorry to hear about Len’s passing and my condolences to the his family. I worked with Len for many years on my trips to Burr Ridge. He was always one of my favorite people to catch up with when I got there. You couldn’t ask for a more pleasant happy person to talk to. The world could use more people like Len! He always spoke very fondly of his wife and kids whenever we talked and was extremely proud of them. Rest in peace my friend.

Condolence from Tom Tuttle on January 31st, 2022 8:28 am

I am so sad to hear the news about Lenny. I started at Hinsdale in 1977 and worked with Lenny until he retired. I started in the Hydraulics Dept where I met Lenny. We could always count on him to make some remark or relay a story that would brighten the day. He was an Engineer who had started in the “shop” and worked his way through night school classes to earn his degree. He had the practical experience that most of us young Engineers did not, so he was always a good resource. I lost track of how many patents Lenny was granted. My sincere condolences, Mary Ann and to your family.

Lenny was a good friend for over 50 years. As was his previously deceased wife Marianne. He was a good husband, father and citizen. God bless his soul.

My sincere condolences to Lennys family. I know he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. I first worked with Lenny in 1973 in dept 39, Hydraulics, at the IH Enginering center. And through the many years of ups and downs, good times and not so good times, you could always count on Lenny for a smile, a good word, and his friendship. And that,as much for his many engineering accomplishments helped get us all through those not so good times. Lenny, you made the world a little better place than you found it. Rest in Peace.

My deepest condolences and prayers to Lenny’s family. He was so such a kind man. He worked with us as a tour guide after he retired with the company. It was such a pleasure working with him. May he rest in paradise.

We met Len at church thru our good friend, his niece, Alicia. My wife and I always think of Len as a kind, caring friend, father, uncle, et al. We enjoyed having a beer with him on our porch and also going to local town music venues. Glad he is in heaven and reunited with Marianne.

My deepest sympathy to the Bettin family. Lenny will surely be missed. I had the honor to have known and work with Lenny for nearly 35 years. He always had a smile and would never turn down a request when someone asked him for help. Lenny was a true team player and mentor to many. It was a pleasure to go with him to Cubs and Blackhawk games. He was proud of his family and would beam anytime he would talk about them. Rest in peace Lenny!!!

Jeff and Jennifer, I was shocked to hear of Lenny’s death. We had just spoken and planned to get together for another enjoyable lunch. My heart goes out to both of you. Be strong in the knowledge that you couldn’t have had a better father even if you could have chosen him yourself. My love to both of you.

Condolence from Paula Borek on March 2nd, 2022 5:33 pm

Our sincere heartfelt condolences. We just learned today of Lenny’s passing. We live one street over and talked to Lenny often, as Casey was the neighborhoods Dog. Lenny spoke often about his late wife Maryann. We talked about his health and he was hopeful to beat his Leukemia. What a positive happy soul he was. I cant say enough about him. He spoke of his son and daughter, his love of boating and Casey. I hope Jeff and Jennifer are doing well. We loved your Dad and Casey.
