Heaven’s stars shine brighter having received Kristen Danielle Chopp – Mariani, age 32, of Willowbrook, formerly of Brookfield. Loving wife and high school sweet heart of Bob Mariani; beloved daughter of Dawn (Michael) Chopp; daughter in law of Theresa (Ed) Cody; dear sister and best friend of Kate Chopp; cousin and niece to many, inspiring friend to all.

An accomplished nurse, Kristen left a grand legacy of compassionate healing care to both body and soul, patient and family. Multiple Daisy Award Winning. Critical Care Certified. She changed lives of patients and coworkers at MacNeal Hospital since earning her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from University of Illinois at Chicago School of Nursing. Forever pursuing new challenges, she recently began graduate studies at UIC, anticipated graduation 2019.

A celebration from birth, Kristen danced through life with energy, was always kind and patient, life of the party, world traveler, our Superstar! She rose to every challenge and enjoyed the ride. Her short life overflowed with adventure and stories that could inspire countless novels. To know Kristen is a blessing. Healing bodies on earth, she can help heal souls in heaven.
