Josephine A. Palunas, nee Cota, age 86, of La Grange Park. Beloved wife of the late Eugene A. Palunas; loving mother of Nancy J. Palunas, Janice M. Palunas and the late Patricia J. (Thomas) Pierce; sister of Stanley (Rosemary) Cota, Theresa (Robert) Gecas and Marlene (Richard) Grenier; aunt and great aunt of many nieces and nephews; loving cousin to Fran (the late Bill) Molloy, the late Andy Cota and Tony (Helen) Cota. You mom was such a joy, she always thought of others. She prayed for me and sent me cards when I was going through my treatments. Heaven has gained another Angel!
I remember your mom from when I lived in Illinois and you all came to my sister’s parties in the summer. What fun those days were. I offer my condolences to you all. Sincerely,

What a great lady! Always working hard for her family and friends and don’t forget all the years of work for the needy. Especially the missions and Casa Hogar del Nino.
What a blessing it was to have know her all these years.
Prayers to you Nancy and Janice. You are wonderful daughters. You did a great job caring for both your mom and day. They are together again, with Patsy & their loved ones in Heaven. God bless, Tom and Judy

I’m very sorry to hear of Jo’s passing. Her, Gene and the entire Palunas family became great friends of mine back in 1967 when I began going to Blackhawk games at the Stadium. Traveling to the games from Michigan, I will always remember the warm hospitality extended to me by her and Gene on so many occasions. Jo was very strong, battling much adversity in her life. I will never forget you dear lady!
