Johnny Skala, age 57 of Brookfield. Proud, loving father of Andrea (Anthony) Harding and Allison (Theodore) Cook; beloved grandfather of Peyton, Sadie, and Gavin; dear son of Anna Skala, nee Podest, and the late Josef Skala; brother of Joseph (Francine) Skala and Michael (Angela) Skala; uncle of Christine (JT) McLanigan, nee Skala, and Joseph (Erin) Skala.
John was the most involved, supportive father for both his girls throughout their childhood and into adulthood. He rarely missed a gymnastics competition of Andrea’s in the 14 years she competed. John could be found cheering in the stands at almost every one of Allison’s softball games. He always found a way to be there, even when out of state – traveling as far as Missouri for Allison and Oklahoma for Andrea. He was so excited for his girls to be married and even more so for the arrivals of his 3 grandbabies. He gave his girls all that he had, always. Because who loved them more than him? No one.

the loss of John…..
Johnny will always be my little nephew that would come with his family to my parent’s huge farm out in the middle of nowhere in Oklahoma. He was a typical, active little boy that would roam his grandparent’s farm. He was so sweet and always laughing. Then this little boy grew up, way too fast and became a parent, then a loving grandparent to his grandchildren. God Bless you Johnny, you touched many lives.
John had a zeal and energy for life. Success oriented and always a family man. When he lived in Oklahoma he came to see me in Texas and I him in okla. good times. Who loves you? Jonny we love you !
His daughters were his true pride!
He loved this country- despite its suicidal nature and financial mis management
Who loves ya? We do, Johnny
Johnny has always had a kind heart…especially toward his Oklahoma family. His laugh was contagious. He was most proud of his daughters and especially beaming around his grandchildren.
He will be so missed!l
