John “Jack” Geraghty, age 83 of LaGrange Park. Beloved husband of 59 years to Mary Kay Geraghty, nee O’Malley; fond father of Kathleen (Greg) Mason, Therese “Terri” (Peter) Thursby and Mary Kate (Matthew) Sableski; dear grandfather of Brigid Mason, Jack Thursby, Kay Thursby, Joe Thursby, Kevin Thursby, Anne Sableski, Patrick Sableski, Nora Sableski, Colleen Sableski and the late Margaret Mason; brother of Peggy (the late Richard) Hintz and Mary (John) Blasko; uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Monday, January 18, 2021 from 3 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., 9445 West 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513.

Due to Covid Regulations a maximum of 10 people are allowed in the funeral home at a time. Face coverings are required, the lounge facilities are closed, no food or beverages are allowed inside. All are asked to pay their respects/condolences to Jack and his family and be cognitive of others waiting to do the same.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021,10 A.M. at St. Louise de Marillac Church, LaGrange Park.

100 guests maximum will be allowed to attend Mass. Please pre-register to confirm your attendance. Sign up will close on Monday, January 18, 2021 at 3 P.M. Walk-ins will be welcome on a space limited basis.

A live stream of the Mass will be available to viewed at https://www.memorialslive.com/geraghty. If you are unable to participate during the live stream a recording will be available to be viewed at anytime and downloaded at the same link by day’s end on Wednesday.

Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
