John J. Quinn, Jr., age 85 of Brookfield, passed on Friday August 21, 2020. Beloved husband of Marilyn Quinn, nee Gordon; father of Betsy Quinn and Julie (Jerry) Dieter; brother of Mary Claire Shreffler, Hugh (Fr. Gavin) Quinn, Ellen (Chris) Mykrantz, James (Patt) Quinn and Kathy Quinn; brother in law of Patricia Kildare; uncle of many loving nieces and nephews.
John was born in Lakewood, OH and graduated from University of Notre Dame. He retired from IBM after over 30 years. His passions were his family, poetry, writing and Notre Dame football. He loved and was loved by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life and Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.

WE all loved Papa Ned with all our hearts. The love and laughter he spread will live for ever. my the Lord keep you all close during this most difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Quinn family. It didn’t matter if years had passed, John was always welcoming and glad to see you. Family visits, the Conway-Campbell picnic and weddings were made all the more joyous by his wit, caring and conversation. God rest his soul.

It is with a heavy heart that we learned of John’s passing.To everyone who was touched by John’s generosity your lives are forever enriched.I will always cherish the experience of having John and his siblings visit the ancestral home and cemetery in Ballycroy in 1997.Safe journey home home John.
