James J. Janota, age 77, of Venice, Florida and formerly of Berwyn, Illinois, passed away on June 14, 2014. He was born on August 19, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois. Jim loved NASCAR, the Chicago Bears and was a sports enthusiast. He played softball in the Senior league for many years and was also an avid boater. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 38 years and a son Jason of Venice. He also leaves behind a brother, Rudolph (Donna) of Bartlett, Illinois. Visitation Tuesday, June 17, 2014, 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. and Wednesday, June 18, 2014, 10:30 A.M. to 11 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd. 9445 West 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513, Funeral Wednesday 11 A.M.
