Fabian J. Bayag, age 74, of Miami, FL, formerly of Riverside, IL. Entered eternal rest on October 3, 2009 after a long struggle with heart disease. He will join his wife of 47 years, Joan Bayag, nee Kwekeboom, who preceded him in death three years ago. Proud father of Dane (Debbie) Bayag; Kristin (Joe) Mira, Brett (Deborah) Bayag, Dina (Manny) Riera and Zack (Jessie) Bayag; loving grandfather of eight, Katie, Stephanie, Hailey, Kelsey, Dillion, Shane, Luke, and Britton Fabian; brother to Carl (Roseann) Fiebig, George (Mary) Hosso, Paul (LaNita) Hosso and Sandy Johnson); a reliable friend to many. Supporter of the “U of Miami”, and a skilled athlete in whatever sport he put his mind to. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps as a Corporal playing baseball during the peace- time era and then had stints with two minor league baseball affiliates of the Chicago White Sox and Baltimore Orioles. Fabe continued his professional career in sports as a life-time employee of Wilson Sporting Goods as a National Sales Representative and sports official. He will be greatly missed.
