Emil Peluso

Emil Peluso, age 93, WWII Army Air Corp and Navy veteran, of Westchester, formerly of Brookfield and Riverside. Beloved husband of Mildred “Dolly” Clara Peluso, nee Kuester for more than 70 years; loving father of Michael, Gary (Cheri), Linda (Terry), Karen (Mike), and Wayne; devoted grandfather of Peter (Gretchen), Abigail (Michael), Kaylen (Pete), Zachary (Gretchen), Emilia, Nicolette, Erica, and Eliana; great-grandfather of Chloe, Carter, and Violet; uncle and great uncle of many. He was the last surviving child of the 8 children of Emilio and Emilia Peluso.

Emil founded and built a well-respected tool and die business in 1963 that continues on as a successful business today. A former Boy Scout and Boy Scout troop leader, Sea Scout, Mason, Shriner, volunteer at Shriners Hospital, baseball coach and manager for Brookfield Little League and Babe Ruth, 6th grade Sunday school teacher at Brookfield United Methodist Church. Emil was a proud member, advocate and supporter of the Brookfield United Methodist Church, member of Brookfield Rotary, West Suburban Shriners and a longtime volunteer at Shriner’s Hospital; former member of Riverside Golf Club.

Emil was beloved and respected by family, former employees, church, and community leaders. A churchman extraordinaire, he continued the Methodist legacy of his parents who were founding members of the Italian Methodist Church in Chicago. He sent all of his children to college, while he himself had excellent trade school training in high school followed by 2 years of college. He will continue to be an inspiration to all who knew him.

Due to public health concerns, the Celebration of life has been postponed until  further notice.
