Don L. Engel, age 76 of Chicago. Fond father of Jeannie Paparone, Kristie (Frank) Blasinski and Michael (Kathryn) Engel; grandfather of Justin, Louis, Grayce, Julia, Brooke, Madison, Jake and Luke; dear brother of Judith (Walter) James, Janet (Todd) Kalbfleisch, Joyce St. George and Karl (Linda) Engel; uncle many nieces and nephews; step son of Julie Engel; son of the late George Engel and the late Jean Engel, nee Filipek.
Don was the former owner of Mini Hut, Chicago deemed best “Butter Crust Chicken” dating back to 1972. Don cherished his family, he was career driven. Dedicated to work, never missing a day. When he could and the opportunity arose he loved playing the horses and would love to get to the track.
