William A. Collins, age 73, lived in Brookfield his entire life and passed on Friday, August 31, 2012. Beloved husband of Diane R. Collins, nee Kuehn; dear father of Wm. Scott Collins, Theodore P. (Heather) Collins and the late Joseph R. (Marie Angelini) Collins; step-father of Marsha L. (the late Al Murguia) Stegall and Sheila M. (Scott) Mitchell; grandfather of Anthony (Stephanie) Murguia, Anthony “Tony” Collins, Alexander “Alex” Murguia, Cecilia “CC” Mitchell, Joshua “Josh” Collins, Anthony “Rock” DePasquale, Jessica Collins, Samantha “Sami” Mitchell, Nicolette “Nikki” Murguia, Michael Murguia, Alexis Angelini, Elise Mitchell and Rain Collins; great grandfather of Mattea Murguia. Bill was retired from Loyola Medical Center and also had WAC Landscaping, which serviced Brookfield, La Grange and Western Springs for many years. You could often see Bill riding his bike through town or at the All American Car Wash. We will all truly miss him along with his words of wisdom and lifelong stories of Brookfield. Private services and committal have been entrusted to Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd. 9445 W. 31st Street, Brookfield. My prayers are with Bill’s family. I know it was a difficult illness for him and he is now out of pain and at peace with God.
I was the first baby born in our family and he will always hold a special place in my heart as our cousin Bill Collins.
