  6. Cheryl Wilferd condolence:

The past few days have been very trying. Fighting back tears, then letting them flow. Holding in emotions, and bursting into laughter, all while morning the loss of my beloved mom. She was my protector, my mentor, my teacher and my best friend. I can say, I am proud of the woman I am, because of her. Above all she taught me how to love.
I see mom in all of my daughters, I see her beauty and grace, her elegance, her traits, her silly ways, her family values, her spirituality and generosity. But most of all, love. She lives in all of us now. We can celebrate her life, and not be sad for her death. She was fortunate to have a beautiful man, my dad as her soul mate for over 50 years here on earth and now eternally in heaven, They were blessed, and had opportunities to travel to Mexico,Hawaii, Italy, France, Canary Islands, and most US states. many places that you and I can only dream about. She was a vivacious active woman too snow skied, played tennis, majong, rode her bike, loved to read, knit, crochet and sew.
And her grandchildren, she found so much joy in them. Even in her later years, she found so much happiness in her great grand children. Fortunate to know them all, if only for a short moment.
While looking through her pictures and things, Sherina found a paper, a hand written note, probably from many years back. I know she brought this note forward to us now. She wanted us to see during these trying days, and to comfort us. It read:

Affirmation for the rest of my life
    I am not my body
    I am free
I am as God created me
I am part of a community
    I am safe and strong
For I am not of my body
    I am free!!
