Funeral Arrangement Seminars

You never think about or maybe don’t want to talk about arranging funerals for yourself or a family member. These interactive lectures will help answer any questions that you have and perhaps were afraid to ask. You will learn about what to expect from the funeral director, Social Security, disposition choices, veteran’s benefits, pre-funding and insurance policies, Medicaid qualifications, legal obligations, protecting funds, and securing authority and potential beneficiary recipients and basic funeral costs. You will also learn about the roles and limitations of power of health verses a power of attorney and how either can be your advocate as well as wills and probate. It may sound like a lot, but when you leave, you will feel a huge weight has been lifted from your shoulders.

Theatre Night

The Hitzeman Family is proud to sponsor the 7th Theatre Night Event at the Theatre of Western Springs (www.theatrewesternspirngs.com) on June 07, 2017.  ” Rumors” by Niel Simon’s.  The Deputy Mayor has just shot himself and four couples need to get their stories straight. A fabulous farce!

We look forward to sponsoring our 7th Theatre Night in 2017.

Music Under the Stars

The Hitzeman Family was excited to sponsor Music Under the Stars on
Wednesday, July 13, 2016.  The entertainment of the evening was The DuPage Band.
The skies opened up that and gave us some much needed rain.  The event was moved to Park Jr. High.  However: this did not dampen the evening.  They covered the Hits from Motown, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s through today and they kept everyone singing and dancing!

We were able to join in the fun by passing out Ice Cream during the Concert featuring Shout Out.

We are looking forward to seeing you for another fun filled night of music,
ice cream and so much more in 2017!

Holiday Remembrance Event…Wreath1

Hosted on December 10, 2016

Holidays can be the most difficult time of the year for someone who has experienced the death of a close family member or friend.  Our Holiday Remembrance Event was intended to help those cope with the grief they may face during the holiday season.

Rev. Henry Krisek provided opening and closing prayers.  Meg Eifrig, L.C.P.C. was the keynote speaker and shared her insight about dealing with grief and loss during the holiday season and ways to promote a pathway of healing. We also had Rev. Dan Willis who will presented us with words of healing and comfort.

We appreciate your continued trust in Hitzeman Funeral Home and we hope that you will be able to join us.

Celebrating 110 Years of Serving the Community!

 Come Join Us

Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., would like to express our appreciation for all who attended our 110 year Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, June 21, 2014.  We were so moved that all were a part of the history of the Hitzeman Funeral Home.

We would like to thank:
The Robert E Coulter, Jr. American Legion Post 1941 who moved the crowd with a stirring Veteran Tribute including a 21 Gun Salute.
Trent James Ketchmark by entertaining the children of all ages with his magic.
Dan Hamilton, sang the very best of Dean Martin to the Beatles and soft rock favorites.
We would especially like to thank our sponsors:
Alpine Haus, Sawa’s Old Warsau and Mattones Restaurants catered the event.  The food was delicious and had them coming back for more.  Phillips Flowers & Gifts provided the balloon decor that
set the mood for this festive celebration.
It was a great day and we thank you for stopping by.
We look forward to serving the community for many years to come.
Sincerely,
Todd & Sue Hitzeman and Staff
