Mildred Dreffein, nee Melichar, age 93, of La Grange Park. Beloved wife of the late Walter Dreffein, dear mother of Thomas (Deborah) Dreffein and Susan (Daryl) Frank; preceded by one brother Joseph Melichar; devoted friend of Robert Hankett; loving grandmother of Wendy (Robert) Garrett, Amy (Jacob) Nichols and Ryan Kurth; cherished great grandmother of Taylor, Trent, Kylee, Emma and Eliza. Long time La Grange Park resident and retired employee of Allied VanLines. She enjoyed baking, playing cards, cheering for the Cubbies and spending time with friends. Memorial Service Saturday, February 2, 2013, 2 P.M. at First Congregational Church of La Grange, 100 S. La Grange Road, La Grange. Private Interment at Bohemian National Cemetery. Thank you, Grandma, for always being a bright light for us all. One heck of a lady is right, Amy! It is truly a blessing that we all have someone with so much love to give in our lives.
