Beloved wife of 68 years to Raymond Vavra; fond mother of Thomas Vavra, Patricia (Brian) Duffy, Barbara (Remo) Fantozzi and Debra (Robert) Wysocki; dear grandmother “Goo” of Brian (Caitlin) Wysocki, Brad (Lindsay) Wysocki and Bree Wysocki; sister of the late Norman (Agnes) Bilek and Eleanor (the late George) Balla; sister-in-law of Lorraine Brown; aunt of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Thursday, September 1, 2016, 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. and Friday, September 2, 2016, 9 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., 9445 West 31st Street, Brookfield, IL. MaryAnne was the founding member of St. Louise de Marillac’s Catholic Woman’s Organization, and served as the second President from 1956 – 1957, she was a founding member of the LaGrange Park Woman’s Club.     I just heard about MaryAnne’s (and Ray’s) passing. While we didn’t know Ray well, we knew MaryAnne. She was a wonderful, classy (always dressed to the 9’s) woman. Always helping at church, CWC functions, etc. She was very kind to our mother during her illness with cancer several years ago. She will be missed by many. God bless you during this difficult time.
