Margaret “Marge” A. Smith, nee Brown, age 61, of Brookfield. Loving wife of 40 years to Joseph L. Smith; fond mother of Matthew (Leah) Smith, Andrew (Rebecca) Smith and Elizabeth Smith; dear grandmother of Collin, Chloe, Autumn, Jacob, Jack and Isabelle; sister of Elizabeth Brown, Thomas Brown and Michael (Margaret) Brown and the late Robert (Mary) Brown; daughter of the late Robert Brown and Elizabeth Brown, nee Burke; stepdaughter of Genevieve Brown, nee Koob; daughter in law of the late Gertrude Smith, nee Cornell; sister in law of Patricia Pike and Mary Beth Stuckey and the late Harold Pike; aunt of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Sunday, August 16, 2015, 3 P.M. to 8 P.M. and Monday, August 17, 2015, 9 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd. 9445 West 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513. Funeral Monday 9:30 A.M. to St. Barbara Parish, Brookfield, Mass 10 A.M. Interment Private. Member of St. Barbara Council of Catholic Women – Woman of the Year 2015, volunteer for Girl Scouts of America, recipient of St. Anne Medal 2011, Boy Scouts of America, CCD, CCW, Veteran’s Affairs and Market Day.     I am finding out about Mrs. Smith’s passing quite late, but I offer my condolences nonetheless. Mrs. Smith was my girl scout leader for several years, and I am grateful to have been shaped by her leadership when I was younger. She was an amazing lady. She was always very kind and supportive.
