Whenever a Daisy presentation came up for the extraordinary nurse award, Kristen’s name was there with nominations from patients or family members sharing their heartfelt stories of Kristen’s nursing care and compassion. I felt like I knew her while typing up those stories. I know she loved her patients and they loved her in return. On our unit, I thoroughly enjoyed Dawn recounting memorable vacation escapades with her daughters. Kristen was the sun, moon and stars for Dawn. I pray for peace and light for the family.
