John Vincent Watson, of Chillicothe, MO, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2004, at his residence. He was born on June 14, 1921, in Oak Park, IL. John graduated from Oak Park High School and entered the service. He was a Wold War II Marine Corp. Veteran from 1943-1948. During his service, he made landings on Tinian, Saipan and Iwo Jima. John also served during the Korean War and made the rank of sergeant. John married Anna Schwager on December 31, 1970 at the St. Mary of Celle Church in Berwyn, IL. He is survived by his wife Anna of the home: a son Ronald; four daughters Barbara, Carol,
Mary Lou and Linda: three sisters Bernice, Virginia and Dorothy: twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents: one son Raymond: one sister Carol: and two brothers Bob and Jim. John worked in the foundry for Western Electric until he retired in 1984. John was an avid Cubs fan and loved crossword puzzles. Visitation Friday, August 13, 2004, 2 PM to 9 PM and Saturday, August 14, 2004, 9 AM to 9:30 AM at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., 9445 W. 31st Street, Brookfield. Funeral Saturday 9:30 AM to St. Mary of Celle Church, Berwyn. Mass 10 AM. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to Marine Corp League and Telephone Pioneers of America.
