James C. Vanecek III, age 35, of Berwyn, DeVry Graduate 1998. Beloved son of James C. Vanecek Jr. and Kathleen L. Vancek, nee Herbert; fond father of James C. Vanecek IV and Caleigh J. Vanecek; dear brother of Valerie L. (Peter Salerno Jr.) Vanecek, Victoria L. Vanecek and John A. Vanecek; uncle of three nephews and two nieces. Visitation Sunday, October 27, 2013, 3 P.M. to 8 P.M. and Monday, October 28, 2013, 9 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd. 9445 West 31st Street, Brookfield. What a flood of memories of fun we had! Jim was one of the few true geniuses that I have known. His death is tragic beyond words.

Jim had an ability to see details and ask great questions about their significance. We had an insightful conversation about Genesis, Creation and Bible translations — and it helped me to dig deeper into the passage.
