Zirzow, nee Russell; loving father of Cynthia Zirzow, Joyce (Thomas) Meier and David Zirzow; dear grandfather of Thomas Meier, Jennifer Meier, Joshua Meier, Tyler Meier and Jocelyn Meier; brother of Donald (Eileen) Zirzow; brother-in-law of Kenneth Russell and the late Edward Russell. Lying in state Friday, February 21, 2014, at Zion Lutheran Church, 204 S. Grant Street, Hinsdale, IL 60521. From 10 A.M. to time of Service 11 A.M. Interment Clarendon Hills Cemetery. I’d like to offer my condolences and prayers to George’s family & friends.
Though I did not know George, he was a
WWII veteran, the kind that inspired
those of us involved in Vietnam. As such,
George will be remembered by me with respect and a salute. May God bless his

I am very sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. Death can be hard to cope with, but we can draw comfort from the scriptures. John 5:28,29 says: “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” So, one day soon, God is going to remove death from the earth and reunite us with our dear loved ones. (Isaiah 25:8) God always fulfills his promises. (Joshua 21:45)
