Goetz, nee Bauer; preceeded in death by his parents Mary Myers, Eugene and Gertrude Goetz; beloved father of Deborah (Patrick) Packard, Diane (John) Zylstra and Donna (James) Moriarty; dear grandfather of Denise (Daniel) Kosan, Maggie Moriarty and Julia Zylstra; great grandfather of William Kosan; dear brother of Mae (Louis) Winkelmann, brother-in-law of Clarence (Jane) Bauer and the late sister-in-law Evelyn (Robert) Bodenstab; uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 3 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd. 9445 W. 31st St., Brookfield, IL 60513. Lying in State Monday, April 18, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 47th Street & Brainard Avenue, La Grange, IL 60525 from 10 A.M. to Time of Service 11 A.M. Interment Concordia Cemetery. Memorials appreciated to St. John’s Lutheran Church and School, 505 S. Park Rd., La Grange, IL 60525. Eugene was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He was a retired carpenter in business with his father for 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, music and singing “Oh Danny Boy”.
