Condolence from Deb (Soumar) Monsen on May 20th, 2014 1:02 am

Dear Kathy (and Cheryl, Connie, and Barb) … I’m so sorry. My mom just called me this morning – your night, and I was afraid to call. Know my heart, thoughts and prayers are with you.
I loved your mom … she was like a “2nd mom” as I was growing up. Will always remember her fondly with Girl Scouts, Michigan, and my short walks over to ‘your’ house just to say ‘hi’.
love you, Deb

Condolence from Laura (Cech) Daman on May 20th, 2014 9:23 am

Dear Kathy, Cheryl, Connie, and Barb, We were so sad to hear of the loss of your sweet mom. She was my mom’s best friend since 3rd grade and, despite the miles between them, they have stayed close over the years. I myself have wonderful memories of going to “Auntie B’s and Uncle Bob’s” house when I was little – she was a dear, dear lady who truly was a beloved aunt. I know she will be missed by all. We are keeping you and your families in our thoughts and prayers.

Condolence from Mary and Jay Cawley on May 20th, 2014 1:19 pm

We have many fond memories of friendship and love with Blanche and Bob. Our hearts go out to their beautiful daughters and their extended families. We stayed in touch from afar via phone or email. Blanche was always upbeat and had a smile in her voice that we could see and hear all the way down in Florida. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Please give Bob our love.

I am so grateful to Blanche for that phone call offering me a job to work side by side with her. We formed a wonderful friendship that I will always cherish. She had a brilliant mind, a loving heart and a wicked sense of humor. Anyone who knew Blanche was a lucky person. She had the best advice in any given situation and always left you with a sense of hope. I love you Blanche xoxo Your friend, Kris

Dear Grimes Family, So sorry for your loss. I met your mother at the Birches in Clarendon Hills through my mother, Regina. We had something in common… St Joseph, Michigan.. she shared the story of one of the granddaughters getting married up there & how she enjoyed spending time there every summer. My daughter just married up there in 2012. She was a really lovely woman who always had a smile regardless of how the day was going for her.
Kathy

Condolence from Janice Dunlap Walter on May 22nd, 2014 7:43 pm

I just learned of this dear lady’s passing. I would like her family to know how fond I was of their loved one. We first met in 1975 when we moved to LaGrange Park. Over the years our paths crossed frequently as we played Bridge together, led the Girl Scout Cadette Troop, gathered for the yearly meeting of Brook Park Moms, etc. I only regret that I never visited her in her Clarendon Hills home. I would have liked to have paid my respects to this dear friend, but I only now learned of her passing.
