Hitzeman Funeral Home
Celebrates 110 Years of Serving Community!

In an increasingly impersonal world dominated by voice and electronic mail, industry consolidation, multi-national companies and corporate-owned funeral homes, one hundred ten year-old Hitzeman Funeral Home proves that by providing compassionate and personalized service, a family business can survive and flourish.

“Our long family tradition provides the continuity and stability that people really appreciate during grieving times,” said Todd Hitzeman, the great-grandson of the founder and President of Hitzeman Funeral Home. “Because we have been an integral part of the community for so long, our clients throughout Chicagoland and the Western Suburbs know that they can count on us to be there when they need us. We have folks come into our funeral home because they remember the caring service my father and grandfather provided to their family in the past.”

Personal services are the cornerstone to our longevity. Clients can depend on our expertise in providing compassionate care and service options at the pre-planning stage or at their time of need. “Our clients appreciate the ability to reduce the stress their loved ones go through at the time of their death,” explained Todd’s wife Susan Hitzeman. “Their wishes are written down, important records are organized, and funeral costs are better managed.”

Todd and Susan Hitzeman agree that, “The Hitzeman family has succeeded by maintaining tradition, dignity and quality of service. We are proud to serve the community we live in, and to be a part of our patron’s lives for 110 years. We look forward to continuing the legacy as a family owned business for years to come.”
